Gerard McPartlan with his 3.5lb tench from Inniscarra
Gerard Mc Partlan was fishing in Inniscara (beside garden centre) on Saturday 10 Septmber, and bagged a nice 3.5 lb tench by accident. he was fishing the feeder and tried a boilie to get some big bream but also got a tench. Gerard reports that the stretch has been quite good for the last few months. He had caught lots of roach, some over 1.3lb, but started coming on the bream by crushing boilies and sweetcorn into his groundbait. He also changed his bait from mixed maggots to worms and boilies towards the second half of the day. Gerard up with a bag of about 35lb ( best bream was over 3lb) so catching the Tench was a great ending to the day.
