Athy and Carlow prove to be good spots for Perch and Hybrids

July 28th, 2012 | by Nancy Hearne

John Flynn IFI reports from the Athy and Carlow areas:

For Coarse Fishing, Athy and Carlow are the best spots at present with visiting anglers and locals. A couple of days ago a visitor from Belfast on his way back home from holidays stopped near Athy and fished the canal for a couple of hours and enjoyed a mixed bag of Perch and hybrids plus a couple of Bream. He will be returning shortly he assures me.

All anglers are asked to be aware and take precautions with regard to Invasive Species and if they require information on such to contact the local IFI personnel or there local IFI Office.
