Barrow in flood but cuts give options to coarse anglers

January 30th, 2013 | by

John Flynn reports that junior angler fishing with his Grandfather in the Graignamanagh area enjoyed lively perch fishing before the weekend’s floods. On on outing he caught 18 perch.

Anglers also reported that the marina area at Carlow is also fishing well, even in high water.

The Levistown Cut is also fishing reasonably well despite the high water while many other stretches of the river are out of order.

Some good bags of roach were reported from the Bagenalstown area before the high water and there is still some angling possible is at some venues in the area despite the flood levels.
