Carrickmacross Coarse Angling & Junior Development Club News

Wednesday 4th July saw the presentation of prizes to the lucky winners of the draw sponsored by Inland Fisheries Ireland following Fisheries Awareness Week event held in Carrickmacross at Lisanisk Lake. The winners were Pauric Malcolm, Larry Mc Closkey, Cian Mc Nulty, Jack Cassidy, Gerry Hand, Alana Martin, Eoin Finegan, Kieran & Niall Mc Gee, Oisin Cassidy. Prize giving took place on the very scenic shore at Lisanisk House and known locally as the Brothers Lake (Lisanisk Lake) and the presentation of 7 MAVER ABYSS X 9.5m margin poles and 2 Introduction to Angling hard back books was made by Club Events Officer Mr. Peadar O’Brien. Well done to all the young anglers and a special thank you to prize winner Gerry Hand, Principal of Castleblayney College who donated his prize of the Maver Pole to the Club for use in the Junior development events to be held on an ongoing basis.
