Good fishing at Portumna ahead of Curleys festival

The Portumna Coarse Angling Club reports on the fishing on the River Shannon at Portumna…

A good stamp of fish continues to appear at the deeper pegs and we are looking forward to a rise in temperatures ahead of the festival. At the weekend there were decent bags of roach, hybrids and skimmers at Stick Ups and the Town, even with the water that was coming down the river.
