Good roach, bream rudd and tench fishing reported from the River Shannon at Meelick, Banagher and Shannonbridge.

Shannon River :

Ray Duthie, Banagher and friend reported 400 lb. of Roach, Bream, Rudd and Tench for a week’s fishing in the Banagher and Shannonbridge areas.  Their best bag was 90 lb. with Bream to 5 lb., Tench to 6 lb. and 1 Rudd weighing 1.4 lb., float and maggot working best.

Tom Hallett, Snr and Jnr from Warrington reported some excellent fishing upstream of Banagher with their best bag of the week, 80 lb. made up of Bream, Roach hybrids and skimmers. Stick floats with maggots, worms and casters worked best.

David Bell, Yorkshire fished the Pumphouse at Meelick and had bags up to 30 lb. which were made up of Roach up to 1 lb.  and Bream over 6 lb. with his best fish weighing 6 lb. 4 ozs.
