January 26th, 2017 | by

There was great fishing on the mighty River Shannon at Portumna at the weekend. Portumna Coarse Angling Club had a competition where a fine stamp of fish was landed, very good for this time of year. The event used 2 stretches, Town and Stick Ups with Stick Ups providing the better fishing.

  • 1st Nigel Houldsworth – 18lb 15oz
  • 2nd Bruce Pennell – 14lb 10oz
  • 3rd Rory Dunne – 14lb 8oz
