Irish Angling Development Alliance Feeder Event on Lough Muckno

September 15th, 2012 | by David Byrne

Following on from the successful section events hosted for the World Pairs championship, the Irish Angling Development Alliance kicked off the IADA Open Feeder 2 day event. The match is currently running on Lough Muckno at Concra Wood. Circa 80 anglers are participating and the newly developed lower Concra Wood stretch is being fished for the first time. Fishing was tough on day 1 and anglers were generally fishing into shallow water of 7-9ft. Bites when they appeared were very timid and often difficult to see. Anglers fished between 35 and 50 turns with double red maggot. Quality roach were again the order of the day. Some nice bags were recorded despite the less than favourable conditions.
