Kevin Johnson wins the Arva King of Clubs with 78.170 kg

The Arva King of Clubs 2012 was held last week over a five day period.  This is the first time this event has been held and it is hoped to make it an annual event with much interest among anglers to compete in it next year.  Twenty seven anglers took part and the following is a list of the winners:-

  • 1st. Kevin Johnson, 78.170kg
  • 2nd. Andrew Lightbrown, 74.670kg
  • 3rd. Roy Toulson, 71.130kg
  • 4th. Kevin Abigale, 68.840kg
  • 5th. Roy Marshall, 66.840kg
  • 6th. Buck Taylor, 61.840kg

The table of Crystal trophies sponsored by Inland Fisheries Ireland at the Arvagh King of Clubs Festival.

More fishing

Some anglers staying in the Carrigallen area have been fishing in and around Lough Gowna by boat and report good bags of fish.

Three anglers fishing Lough Oughter at the castle report good mixed bags of fish the heaviest bag weighing 80 lbs.

The river at Killyvaughan near Cootehill is also giving good bags of fish up to 70 lb.
