October tench helps Martin win at Kilgory Lake

The first round of the Munster Anglers winter league took place on Kilgory Lake, Co. Clare against a cold Easterly wind. The winner of this leg was Martin Bobka with a good tench of 4.75lb that accounted for more than half his weight. In second place with 6lb of pole caught roach was Ray Linton.

  • 1st Martin Bobka 8lb 9.5oz
  • 2nd Ray Linton 6lb
  • 3rd Liam Bedford 5lb 12.5oz

The Winter League Millennium Shield has been awarded to Steve Grogan, three times holder and a new shield dedicated to Barry Smith will be introduced. Next league match 20th November.
