Perch fishing after a foggy morning proves fruitful for fishing pals

October 31st, 2012 | by

David Muirin from Arklow and his friend Maciek went for a days fishing to catch Perch. David tells us:

We hit the road early in the morning and drove north in difficulty misty conditions for nearly 2.5 hrs.

When the first rays  of light broke through the fog we were ready… We only dropped the lure into the dark, cold , deep water and… Fish on ! The straight away !

Since that, our rods bent over a hundred times.  Apart from us, there was only one more boat on this big lake. There was no rest- the perch kept us busy all day long. Perch were moving all the time, but Maciek had perfect skills at finding them again.

I experimented and tried to fish with my magic Japanese plastic worms. On the first drop  I hit my first ever perch brace lol.

Back he went – like the every one fish, which we caught that day.

We called it a day with 166 big perch landed 🙂 What a session !
Thanks to Maciek for guiding.

Compliments of:

David Muirin,
