Anglers had a great start on Monday and there were lots bagging over 10lb. Trevor Platt had a great day landing 25lb 8oz. trevor was the only angler to break the 20lb mark putting him 5 lbs ahead of his nearest rivals.

The River Blackwater switched off on Day Two; some caught and others struggled. Day Two winner was Terry Morgan, Leeds with 21lb 50zs, second was Paul Leek with 12lb 10ozs and third was Tony Tibble with 9lb 8ozs. These three anglers confounded the rest of the field most of whom did not manage to catch into the double figures. This put Terry Morgan 10lb ahead going into Friday

Friday was another tough day as anglers tried hard to break the 10lb mark; top weights were Andy Bockett, Reading with 14lb 4ozs, 2nd Andy Love, London with 11lb 14ozs and third Trevor Platt with 10lb 6ozs.

In the end it was a strong start and finish that won the event for Trevor Platt.

Fermoy CAC would like to congratulate the winners and everyone who fished the festival, thanks too to the sponsors, fishery and landowners who make the event possible; Alberts Bar, TJ Goodtymes, The Wagon Tavern, The Avondhu Bar, the Grand Hotel and the B&Bs.
