January 10th, 2018 | by

A new report has concluded that lice emanating from areas of intensive salmon farming are having “a general and pervasive negative effect” on wild salmonid populations in Ireland, Norway and Scotland. The report, Impacts of salmon lice emanating from salmon farms on wild Atlantic salmon and sea trout, was commissioned by Salmon & Trout Conservation Scotland (S&TC Scotland) and was based on “all the available and up to date research on the impact of sea lice from salmon farms”…
The Fish Site, 10/01/18. Read the full report ‘Report backs negative sea louse claims‘.
