Pike Galore for Belgian Anglers with Peadar and Tom

October 8th, 2012 | by David Byrne

Angling guide Peadar O’Brien reports that a party of 8 Belgian anglers who were with him for 2 days pike fishing recently  had a great time in the Monaghan area. Water levels were high and expectations of success were not high and the lads didn’t think they would do as good as they actually did considering 6 of them never fished before. Over the few days the lads managed to get 44 pike into the boats from small jacks up to well conditioned fish to 25lb. As would be expected a number of anglers in the group also lost a few nice fish. Along with fellow guide Tom Cogan from Carrickmacross they were well looked after, stayed at top accommodation Arradale House which they loved.

They are already looking forward to next fishing trip to Ireland.
