5/2/16 Lough Currane records its second Salmon today and what a cracker of a Salmon, weighing in at 12 lbs. Caught on the troll this afternoon by renowned Kildare and Waterville angler Mr. Noel Clancy and for the rest of the fishing community, No Comment.

6/2/16 Now all the news  from Lough Currane, well there isn’t any and for good reason, Currane was at a standstill with a strong SW blowing and heavy showers on and off all day and just for the record one could have fished the South Side, if there were any boats out they didn’t report  the day’s  manipulating .

7/2/16 Again the weather takes all the headlines , storm WSW wind was the talk of the day and in the words  of  renowned local  Gillie  Mr. Mike  O ‘ Dwyer , Lough Currane was only fit for ducks and the seagulls.

That is your ration from last weekend on Lough Currane, from your Gillie and the Waterville Fishery, no spin no fly’s just facts.
