15lb sea liced salmon for Bob off the Ellis beat on the Blackwater

September 12th, 2012 | by

Paul Whelan reports from Fort William:

10/09/12 “Water levels are in cracking order and clarity is just perfect. Fishing has not been easy but we are still landing a few fish. Over the weekend Ian Forde had a nice grilse on fly off the Castle beat. On Glenmore his fishing partner Ciaran Ward also had a fish on fly of 6lbs on the Abbey Pool. Dermot Cregg had 2 of 7lb each both fresh and one returned safely. Marcus Bale had a beautiful fish of 7lbs off Glenmore on spinner. Our guide Bob had a cracking fish on Friday of 15lbs sea liced off the Ellis beat. Forecast is unsettled for the coming week.”

While last week he was joined by Jason O’Riordan and young Luke, who’s proving to quite a good fisherman! A star angler in the making ;-).
