8.5lb Spring Salmon from the River Flesk

January 22nd, 2015 | by

Mr Alan Cassidy, Cork City caught this fine 8.5lb spring salmon yesterday on the lower River Flesk, on Lough Leine Anglers Assoc. waters.
The fish was caught around mid-day on a Black & Gold Flying C.  Mr. Cassidy usually practices C&R, especially on spring fish. However this fish was found to be bleeding heavily on release so he decided it was best to take him.
Water level were medium, with a little colour in the water but temperatures were good.
