Club angler lands 6lb salmon on Coomhola river in Cork

Two fish landed for the week, best 6lbs by a club angler on worms

The Coomhola River can be found just outside of Bantry on the main road to Kenmare in County Cork. Good runs of grilse are caught every season as well as a small run of sea trout during July and August.  Methods used here are fly and spin and open season for salmon is from 17 March to 30 September.
