Fifteen Salmon on the Fane During the Last Week

September 21st, 2012 | by David Byrne

Bernard Devenney of the Dundalk salmon Anglers reports that water levels have dropped back and Salmon fishing has slowed down during the last few days. Some very big Salmon well over twenty lbs have been seen in the river. It is expected that until we get some more rain fishing will be slower, however as the water table is high it will not take much rain to raise the river level. During the last week the number of Salmon known to have been cuaght would be about 15. Hopefully the next week should see improved conditions. If any angler wishes to get up to date on the River Fane and how it is fishing they can phone or text Bernard Devenney at 087 1322873
