High tides, sea trout and salmon expected to run Laune

March 1st, 2017 | by

Billy Downes reports from the River Laune in Kerry where high water and high tides are expected to produce a fish soon…

As of  the last day of February the Laune is just over 1.8m – a bit on the high side but no doubt, with this water and the high tides there will be a few fish running.  Now that March is almost here we can expect a few good spring sea trout to be showing up also and may be a surer bet that a salmon.
