Moy anglers report 29 salmon for the last week

Billy Thornton, IFI Ballina, tells us that there was an improvement in weather conditions and this along with dropping water levels saw angling effort increase on the Moy over the past week. In total there were 29 Salmon reported caught throughout the system. Ballina salmon anglers reported four salmon caught, best fish 11 lbs.  Foxford salmon anglers had eight fish for week with Vincent Deignan taking a nice fish of 7.5 lbs

On East Mayo anglers water three salmon were reported with French angler Vincent Prior taking two of six and eight lbs on spinner and Bubble and fly.

With the Easter holiday weekend coming up angling effort should increase further.
