Plenty of excitement on a calm day for Cobh SAC Winter League

March 3rd, 2016 | by

Pat O’Shea reports that Myles Howell is the winner of the latest round of Cobh SAC’s Winter League competition which was fished on Sunday, 28 February. All the anglers welcomed the chance to fish in calm, sunny conditions after some of the cold, blustery weather experienced recently.

On the face of it it appears Myles won easily on fish. But it was a heart stopping chase between 1st and 2nd and for 2nd and 3rd and in the end it was the difference of a point for gold and a fish for silver. Tactic are everything – or was it luck!

  1. Myles Howell – 137 fish, 731 points
  2. Terry Boyle – 129 fish, 730 points
  3. Sean Og McShane – 128 fish, 688 points

The overall positions are as follows:
