Specimen skate for lucky angler on Clew Bay

March 30th, 2017 | by

Darragh McGee of Clew Bay Charters in Newport, Co. Mayo has what we think is the first  skate caught on Clew Bay this year. Not only that but its size qualifies it for a specimen. Darragh measured the big fish at 201cm (L) ×148cm (W) giving a chart weight of 157lbs.
