Angling Guide and journalist Mick Flanagan reports on better trout fishing on Lough Ennell in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.
MURROUGHS & PETERS UP ON ENNELL.
Lough Ennell produced some cracking trout earlier this week and is certainly worth checking out in the coming days. On Monday night in heavy rain local Ennell expert, Mick Devaney rattled the scales with a 7 lb. beauty. Mick is pictured with his Grandson Christion Dowling who is 5 years old.
Also earlier in the week Lough Ennell club officer Alan Tyrrell produced fish to 6 lbs. On Wednesday night many boats were out and in very calm condition sMartin McGorian produced a pair of Ennell crackers while fishing with Brendan Murray.
Also Robert Vaughan and Oisin Tyrrell had fish on the night. I covered countless feeding fish well into darkness, but simply could not hook-up with an Ennell fish. Maybe I am loosing my touch.
