Decent bags of ‘good’ sonaghan on Lough Melvin

May 29th, 2015 | by

Lindsey Clarke reports from  LOUGH MELVIN – Monday 18th  April to Sunday 24th May 2015.

Weather conditions were variable this week with rain showers, strong winds at times and air temperatures remained well below average. Despite poor conditions overall, Melvin fished well. Rods reported decent bags of ‘good’ sonaghan from the deep water drifts and from Lareen Bay. There were around 5 salmon caught trolling also.
