Early sedges on Melvin should improve trout fishing
March 8th, 2012 | by Myles Kelly
There were varying conditions over the week on Lough Melvin though it was a drier week overall. The weekend was fairly miserable however giving cold wintery conditions with some hail.
The trout fishing was fairly quiet and I have only heard of a few decent trout caught. On a brighter note, the hatch of early sedges seems to have begun in earnest and this should improve the trout fishing.
