The Pillar House Cup, Fly-Fishing Competition, hosted by Emy & District Anglers Ltd, is scheduled to take place on Emy Lake on Sunday Sept 9th from 2-6pm. Check in at Club Jetty from 1pm. Last years winner Martin Mc Kenna is hoping to retain the cup. Refreshments afterwards in the Pillar House Glaslough. All are welcome.
One thousand superb quality 2lb + brown trout came all the way from Roscrea fish farm and were stocked into Emy Lough Emyvale at the end of August 2012. Note membership is required to fish Emy. Fly-Fishing only. No other fishing methods are permitted.
Emy is still producing on the fly. Young Angler Sean McKenna caught a lovely trout on Emy Lough on Thursday 2nd of August.
