Evenings prove best for sonaghan trout on Lough Melvin

Monday 20th to Sunday 26th August 2012

Lough Melvin fished well this week for sonaghan with all drifts producing fish over the week. The prime time seemed to be the evenings. Garrison and Lough Melvin Anglers held their annual 4 day competition. This was very well attended again this year. Thursday, Friday & Saturday were qualifying days with the final held on Sunday. The competition was won by Brian Uprichard & Tom Sullivan who each received a boat and some Galway Crystal.
