Last week on the Rye Water fishes with trout to 3lb on nymphs

The trout season has now closed on the Rye Water although there is still pike fishing on the Rye Lake.
There was some superb fishing on the Rye during the last week of the season. The water levels were absolutely spot on and yours truly had a fantastic afternoons fishing with several fine fish up to 3lb caught and released. All the fish were caught on a rather heavy shaggy nymph of my own tying which made it all the more exciting.
