Midlands trout venues report slow fishing

August 30th, 2012 | by

Dermot Broghan reports:

Lough Ennell:

After a couple of good weeks on the lake, trout have been slower to catch this week.  The Con Hope cup was fished on Sunday the 26th of August.  Some fish were showing but with difficult angling conditions no fish gave up.

Lough Glore:

Angling on Glore has been slow this week.

Lough Owel:

This week has been challenging for anglers fishing the lake.  The Clonhugh Cup will be fished on the lake on Sunday next 2nd September and we would hope to see an improvement.

Lough Derravaragh:

The Derravaragh Anglers are hosting the Leinster Shield next Saturday and are hoping for a good result.

There are no reports of fish being caught on Derravaragh this week.
