Ryewater fishing well for Leixlip and District Anglers

April 30th, 2018 | by

Leixlip and District Anglers Association fished the Hawtorn Cup recently in ideal conditions…

22 April: The Hawthorn Cup was fished today and what started out as a damp morning turned into a sunny day which ensured a smile was kept on the faces of all. Water levels were perfect, the river temperature was higher than at any time over the last few months. Fishing was steady all day with good returns from several anglers.

The result was quite tight in the end with two anglers fighting it out for top spot. In the end, with a total of 78 inches, Gianluca had it won by 2.5 inches over Edward in second with 75.5 inches. Jason was third with 49 inches.

Very well done Gianluca. A very deserved win that he worked hard for and well done to all who fished on such a lovely day.
