Warm, humid weather with good hatches of flies throws up some fine Trout on the Nire

Andrew Ryan of Clonanav Fly Fishing reports on fishing last Monday:
With the improvement in the weather over the past few days trout fishing on the tributaries the Nire, Tar and Anner has been good. The weather has been very warm and humid with good hatches of fly during the day. Most of the fish have been caught on small black gnats as well as small size 16 nymphs.
Dr Andrew Rogers from the US had a great few days with us and caught some fantastic fish on the Tar and Anner. He hooked one very large fish over 3lbs on the Anner but unfortunately it broke his 6X tippett. However some amazing fish up to 2lbs were landed on the Anner today.
