Shaun Hegarty reports a mixed week weather-wise at the Curragh Springs Fishery which led to variable fishing conditions. On some days the fish were near the surface taking daddy long legs, CDC, sedge and hares ear and on other days much deeper taking small lures, Cats Whisker, Montana and damsels. Wet flies and nymphs are still catching fish. Buzzers were also doing well all week although they need to be retrieved. Water clarity is excellent and all areas are fishing well. Brothers Patrick and J.P. Gibson had a good day recently at Curragh Springs, both catching some very fine hard fighting Rainbow.
Curragh Springs which is open 7 days from 9am until dark right through the winter so if you fancy a great days fishing at Curragh Springs please contact Shaun Hegarty at 087 2462028
