The main topic of conversation has been the weather with everyone wondering if it will ever improve, particularly before the children go back to school next month.
Being an fisherman I have to look on the bright side as the return to anglers this season has been an all time high.
The high water levels have allowed thousands of salmon into the Moy system where Inland Fisheries Ireland has reported huge catches.
