John Flynn IFI reports on Salmon fishing on the Nore:
There were reports of good Salmon fishing on the Nore especially around Inistiogue, Brownsbarn and Thomastown areas. Water levels are slightly raised still. Fish caught in Brownsbarn are averaging 12 to 14lbs and John informs us no grisle were encountered this week.
The forcast for the heavy rain this week could raise water levels to unfishable.
