The staff at Cashel Trout Fishery would like to thank all our anglers for their custom in the past year and would like to wish everyone a very happy and prolific 2012. Tight lines!!!!
Dungiven brothers Shane and Mark Irwin battled against the elements with friend Emmet Mc Closkey but to no avail. Jim Russell and Danny Walker (Newtownabbey) bagged one each which were 4lb and 2lb respectively. Dungiven’s Martin Bradley released seven which fell to a green damsel. John Hasson (Dungiven) used the green fritz to bank four trout which he released. Pearse Doherty (Maghera) had a brilliant time releasing thirteen trout which took a wee egg fly and a few dries. Claudy’s Kevin Burke released two which took the diawl bach. Derry’s Aidy Askin released nine which took the wee buzzers while Michael Mc Kee and Michael Forrest accompanied by Liam Mullan (Limavady) released thirteen trout between them which fell to buzzers and minkies. Pearse Mc Gill (Lavey) released one.
