Jason O’Riordan and his friend Shane decided to go to Carrigavantry for a few hours fishing last Friday. The forecast was for cold calm conditions. Unfortunately due to work commitments Jason couldn’t go so Shane went ahead first.
A good share of fish were RISING and it was killing Jason not to be there. By lunch time Shane had had quite a few rainbows and a few browns and had his limit bag of 2 rainbows and the rest released, so he offered Jason his tackle for an hour after work. By evening Jason had shot over to the lake, fired on a pair of wellies and lifejacket and headed out in the boat with him. He managed 1 small brown, a couple of rainbows and a wee pike on imitative nymphs for the hour. Great going!
