Poor week for anglers on Lough Ree and River Suck

Water levels are still very high and fishing is generally poor.  However, Hugh McArdle from Ballygar had a good day  on Lough Acalla during the week with five fish – one weighing 4 ½ lbs the others weighing  1 ½ lbs to  2lbs. These were rare enough in what was a poor week overall on the lake.   Lough Ree had very few anglers and catches were small.
