Rob Love of the Carton House Fishery reports:
The Liffey is fishing well at present with good water levels and the recent milder weather providing some excellent fishing in the evenings with Sedges out in force. Small brown Sedge patterns seem to work well as will emerging Sedge patterns. While some might prefer earlier season fishing – for various Olives etc I feel that July and August deserve some credit for the fantastic evenings they can provide if the conditions are right.
At the moment conditions are certainly right with good water levels and mild evenings. This evening, fingers crossed will see me on my favourite stretch of the river armed with several Sedge patterns.
