An inter club competition was held today on Lough Muckno with fifteen teams of 5 anglers taking part. Weather was great, sunny intervals with some cloud, warm with light breeze and some showers. Below are some pics from the section on Yellow Island which produced some great weights into the late teens in kilos. All of the other sections at Concra Wood, Black Island and White Island also produced great bags with some weights in excess of 30kg being taken. Catches included roach, bream, skimmers and hybrids with the usual smattering of perch. Top weight off Yellow Island was taken by Nick Howell with a weight of 17kg 670g, second best weight was recorded by Darren Fairhurst with 16kg 920g and third best was Davy Hamilton with 16kg 700g. Other notable weights were 16kg 670g by Karl Woodhouse and Rory Dunne with 15kg 520g. Nine anglers had over 10kg. Pole produced best results at Yellow Island. Results from other venues and the final results will be posted as sooon as they are available.
