THE Irish Ladies Fly Fishing Association competed in the ladies fly fishing international against England, Scotland and Wales in Caragh Lough in Kerry on June 11 to 13.

Ireland, with three Mayo members, won gold, taking first place by a sizable margin, with England second, Wales third and Scotland fourth.

The Mayo members of the ladies fly fishing team were Carmel Kelly from Knockmore, Julie McGeever from Foxford and Dorrie Gibbons from Cong.
