Gardaí across the county have launched investigations this week after a spate of robberies stretching from the shores of Loch Gowna to the banks of the River Shannon.
Last weekend, thieves targeted the former Burlington site in Fisherstown, Clondra where they stripped the building of its copper and lead fixtures. Last Saturday a private house in Drumlish was ransacked, and later that same day, another house was targeted in Moyne. The back door of the residence was smashed in and the rooms were searched, however gardaí say that nothing was taken……
