Pawel Orlow from the Fishmaniak fishing club reports that the club ran a very successful event on Sunday last 24th February at Lough Egish in Co Monaghan. The weather was brilliant and the fish cooperated with the lads. We had 24 contestants who managed to catch 21 pike overall on spinners lures and deadbaits. Some nice fish were caught but the biggest fish; 95cm, 7kg was caught by Pawel himself.  As usual the lads collected some rubbish from along the banks after the competition was over. The competitors then had a barbecue in Lake View Pub where the prizes were presented to the winners.
