Roy Craigie reports that the Shean Lodge Fishery has had some good fishing in May with 43 salmon to 17.5lb taken by guests of the Lodge…
We had a very dry spell during April with particularly low water for that time of year, but thankfully the weather changed in early May and the first 2 weeks brought a good run of Springers resulting in 43 fish caught including 2 grilse during those 2 weeks. All fish were in beautiful condition the heaviest being 17.5lbs with many in the 12lbs to 14lbs range.
Prospects look encouraging for the coming weeks and a number of fish are beginning to show, so hopefully water levels continue favourable.
