Eamonn Conway reports that not long after the World Youth Fly Fishing Championships the rain began to fall and the River Fane has risen slightly. Eamonn has been fishing in the Magoney bridge area where the river is fishing very well. Even though the river is low, small nymphs on a light set up are working a treat. According to Eamonn, the dry fly fishing is working just as well, if not better. Olive emergers are doing the business at the minute. Stealth is required to achieve the best results due to the river being low. Eamonn says that he can understand with the quality of fly fishing on this river why it now has a world class status.
