Angling guide and Instructor Eamonn Conway has been out and about again looking for trout in some of the underfished areas of Co. Cavan. No piece of wate escapes Eamonn’s expert eye and strips of water that would be passed by many anglers are subjected to minute examination by this passionate trout angler. Eamonn spent some time recently on a small water in the Cavan area and managed to catch and release over 20 wild brown trout. Most of the fish were taken on nymph but Eamonn reports that there were good hatches of olives brought on by the warmer weather and this is bound to improve the chance of taking a few fish on dry fly as the weather continues to improve.
