Its certainly chilly on Owel, but some nice trout are being landed. Pat Keenaghan had a beautiful fish over Paddy’s weekend, and the lake will produce some good fish in the coming weeks as the first Duck Fly start hatching.
It was good to see the I.F.I. officers out checking boats on Owel, and be it local or visiting angler you need a current I.F.I. permit to fish Owel.We met Tony Robinson and Nigel Gallagher out on Owel.
Anglers are reminded that they can buy the Midland Fisheries Group permit online.
