Michael Flanagan has news on upcoming pike competitions in the Midlands…
WARDELL CUP FOR PIKE.
Lough Lene Angling Association have changed the date for the Wardell Cup pike competition. It will be fished on Sunday May 11th instead of May 4th as printed on your membership cards. Members will be contacted by text regarding this change of date. Competition hours are 11am-6pm,with no fish –finders or dead bait allowed. May and June are good months for piking on Lene and a few Midland Monster Pike might just take the bait.
NORTH LONGFORD ANGLERS.
Our neighbors in North Longford Anglers have asked us to mention their May weekend 3 day – pike competition. On Saturday they will fish Gualladoo Lake, and on Sunday Gowna Lake. Ladies day takes place on Bank Holiday Monday on Gowna from Dernaferst Bridge. It’s a fantastic few days, and if interested in fishing please contact John Boyle on 086-1963986.
