For the final day of the festival we had a storm of lashing rain with gale force winds, the fishing was hard enough without adding these elements but today saw Shane Dunne win with 10.420kg from the Farmyard, Julian Kendrick 2nd with 7.560kg from the Pump House and Steve Thorpe was 3rd with 7.520kg from the Farmyard.
Tony Green holds on by a narrow margin to win the 2015 Munster Coarse Angling Council Open sponsored by Jackie Lennox Chip Shop, Cork with a total weight of 22.580kg, 2nd was Kevin Leahy 21.960kg and 3rd was Shane Dunne with 21.720kg.
Munster CAC would like to thank all anglers who fished this event and thanked them also for their continued support for this event, we everyone who helped out over the weekend on scales etc and thanked our host O’Callaghans Bar & Guest House. Congratulations to all our winners and especially to our winner Tony Green who travelled from Co. Fermanagh for the event. A special prize was also presented to our youngest competitor Eoin Rogers, Carrickmacross AC who finished in the top 10!
