French anglers, Xavier Jolivet, Thierry Fleury and Bertrand Blondeau returned to Foxford, Co. Mayo for a week’s pike angling with guide Kenny Sloan. Having already visited the area for pike fishing in previous years they were hoping for more big wild Irish pike.
Weather conditions for the week were atrocious with heavey rain, gales and rising water levels. Fishing the days that were possible from boat they landed around 27 pike, mostly casting lures into deep water.
